Dear Osher at SDSU Members,
SDSU World Campus, in an abundance of caution, is announcing the suspension of all Osher Lifelong Learning Institute courses, effective Sunday, March 15, 2020. This decision aligns with guidance provided to SDSU from the California State University system to help minimize potential spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). As of this writing, this suspension will remain in effect through May 31.
We are also making this difficult decision because of the increased risk for serious illness from COVID-19 in older adults, per the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As we value the health and well-being of all our community members, this proactive measure is being implemented to help keep all of our members safe.
No confirmed cases of COVID-19 exist within the SDSU community. The university is closely monitoring the global COVID-19 situation daily, and continues to follow the guidance of the CSU, San Diego County Health and Human Services (HHSA), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the CDC.
Students can expect to receive refunds within four weeks from the date of this notice. The following schedule is a special refund policy in response to the monitoring of COVID-19.
Osher Institute Refund Schedule
- All students will receive a refund of their Osher membership fees for the Spring 2020 term.
